Clean Eating Week(s).

When I was at Sam's Club a week ago, I picked up the newest Clean Eating magazine. In the January/February magazine, there is a two week menu for eating clean. They even make it pretty vegetarian friendly. So tonight I went to the store and stocked up using the weekly shopping list provided by the magazine.

The daily calories in this meal plan are roughly 1600. It suggests using a organic as often as possible. Also anytime canned goods are used the plan suggests low sodium. There are some meals or snacks that I'm not so sure I'll like, but I will be sure to let you know! I'm going to follow the plan as closely as possible.

Some of the biggest challenges for me this week will be:
  • No Starbucks
  • No chocolate
  • No packaged bars
  • Keeping with the snacks on the plan (not picking my own)

I already have the soup on the meal plan for tomorrow at lunch (and for several other meals through out the week) in the crock pot. I'm excited to see how I feel after this week. See you tomorrow with Day 1 of my clean eating week.
