Let her eat (angel food) cake (for dinner)!

No news on my job search. I haven't heard from one job that I applied to, even the legal temp agency hasn't had any work for me. I wish I could have more optimism.

On to today's eats.

For breakfast I had buckwheat pancakes with berries and cool whip.

I also had a latte from our espresso maker to help me start the day. This cup was from M&M World in Las Vegas.

Steve and I spent the morning running around doing some errands. Around 12:30 we stopped for lunch at Chipotle. I have never been there, but I got a vegetarian salad that was amazing. It had romaine lettuce, grilled veggies, black beans, rice, corn salsa, and tomato salsa. I asked for no dressing, because I think all of the salsa and toppings make any dressing unnecessary.

This salad filled me up so much and all of the onions in the salsa and in the grilled vegetables made me want a sweet dinner. So I had angel food cake with strawberries and some Edy's slow churned. Sorry no pictures of my strawberry shortcake dinner, but know that it was very good.
I just finished a game of Scrabble with my husband, and we were able to use every letter. A new episode of Desperate Housewives is on tonight, so I'm closing my laptop. Goodnight!

I laughed because I have skipped dinner before to just eat dessert. That salad looks amazing. I love it when restaurants get the vegetarian salad right!

Hey Catie. I went to Pitt for law school and my husband is currently in the MBA program at Pitt. We live about 20 minutes outside the city in the North Hills. What program will you be in?

Sorry the job hunt hasn't worked out yet. Such a tough time to be looking for one. I hope something good comes your way soon. :-)

My old firm just dissolved. I hate a Ding Dong the Witch is Dead Party last night. :D I am sorry you're having trouble, but the economy sucks (I know that doesn't help) and something will happen for you!

The pancakes look awesome. Do you have a recipe?

Hey Aimee! I'm going to pitt for speech pathology...I think I'll be living in Squirrel Hill to start off the semester. If you have any advice/tips for living in the city, I'd be glad to hear it! Hope you're having a good day:)

Setting yourself manageable job search targets on a daily or weekly basis, and even scoring yourself to make sure that you stay on track, helps to make you feel in control of an area of life which might otherwise begin to feel totally unmanageable.
